Professional Experience
My educational training focused on the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents. Accordingly, after graduating from UT, I have pursued a career working with youth. I spent my internship providing psychological services at an in-patient detention facility in Rockdale, Texas. I had the opportunity to provide therapeutic services with a diverse adolescent population, complete psychological and forensic assessments, and consult with state agencies and probation departments. Next, I was employed for three years at Georgetown Independent School District as a Special Education Counselor. My primary responsibilities were providing therapeutic services to children and helping schools meet the mental health needs of their students. I also completed psychological / psycho-educational assessments to determine eligibility for special education services. I feel as though I garnered a strong understanding of how school systems work and enjoy working with children and families to enhance students' educational experiences. In 2009 I iniated a therapy and assessment practice in the community. Starting in the summer of 2010 I transitioned to a full time private practice in Austin. I sincerely enjoy my work as a psychologist and consider myself fortunate to work in a field where I can make a difference in the lives of children and families.

Personal Bio
I grew up in Southern California. As a youth I was very involved in sports and I played basketball competitively through the collegiate level. I continue to be an avid sports fan and enjoy playing recreationally. I met my wife during college and we were married shortly after I graduated. We moved to Austin in 2002. I have come to love the Austin area and consider myself a transplant Texan at this point. Our family got a little bigger in 2010, as we were blessed with our first child.
