Available Services

Therapy

I offer therapeutic services for individuals and families, or in a group format.  As a therapist, I believe strongly in a holistic and collaborative model of care.  If you are interested in initiating therapy, we will sit down and tailor an individualized plan that matches what you or your family are looking to achieve.  Family therapy and behavioral consultation are often important dynamics of treatment, especially for younger children.  Common therapeutic modalities include cognitive-behavioral and interpersonal therapy.  I also provide a variety of play-based services for younger children.  I am strongly committed to empirically validated techniques and progress monitoring.  I strive to combine these principles with a relationship-oriented approach to therapy.  Specialties include the assessment and treatment of depression, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, attention deficit hyperactive disorder, conduct problems, and trauma.

Assessment

I am experienced in several types of evaluations, including cognitive testing, learning disabilities, emotional assessment, and neuropsychological assessment.  At the onset of an evaluation, we will meet and compile a list of assessment questions that outline what you hope to learn from this process.  These questions will help guide the assessment process and the nature of the evaluation.  Feedback will be given throughout the process as appropriate and a final feedback meeting will be held to discuss the results and answer any questions.  I will provide families with a comprehensive written report at the end of each assessment. As a licensed psychologist and a licensed specialist in school psychology, I am uniquely equipped to tailor psychological assessments so that they are not only helpful for individuals and families, but also relevant to the child’s educational setting.

Consultation

I provide parent and school consultation services.  Parent consultation often consists of brainstorming strategies and techniques to better manage children's behavior.  School consultation consists of communicating with individuals at your child's school to help them better meet your child's educational and/or mental health needs.
